Hope

Population: 300

Hope lies in the southwest corner of Steele County, and is in the center of a remarkably rich agricultural district.

The city of Hope, founded in 1881, was named after Hope A. Steele, wife of Mr. Edward H. Steele. Mr. Steele, was one of the founders and the first person to erect a building on the townsite.

Located on Main Street is the Steele County Museum. The building itself is part of the local history and dates back to the 1800's. It is a must see if you are traveling through Steele County.

In its beginning, Hope experienced a remarkable building boom. The community, then and now is

comprised of an energetic people noted for their intellectual culture. Hope is one of the splendid

locations in the state in which to build a business and a home. There are lots available in the Hope Industrial Park for custom construction or space is available in the new Hope Incubator building.
